Neon glass tubing, found barbed wire taken from NYPD parking lot, HDPE
7” x 11” x 5”

This wall-mounted sculpture combines neon with barbed wire that the artist sourced from an NYPD parking lot at Dekalb and Central Avenues. This particular NYPD lot was a site of protest over the summer as seven cop cars were set ablaze in solidarity with the anti-ICE riots in LA. The barbed wire is a remanent of the fortifications the NYPD made in response, now illuminated with the stain of red neon.
