Westlab + Gallery opened its doors in October of 2020 as a color film lab and micro-gallery in a shipping container underneath the Central Avenue M station. After a three year run at our original location, we moved to a brick and mortar storefront at 131 Irving Avenue in November 2023, just a few blocks from our original home.

In our new space, we continue to serve the film photography needs of the Bushwick community, curate exhibitions and self-publications by local artists, host workshops and events, and remain dedicated to making local art inclusive and accessible to the neighborhood.

Westlab + Gallery is lovingly run by owner/operator Shrey Mendiratta with his partner, Jacquey Buckley. A proud team of two, we curate and design all our exhibitions in-house. To this day, Shrey scans every single frame of film that passes through our doors.
