The Hands that Thieve, 2026

Jogakbo quilt, cyanotype, and SolarFast uv dye on linen, hand stitched
33” x 72”

The Hands that Thieve is a hand-stitched jogakbo quilt composed of cyanotype patches. It channels anger as a way of coping with the current state of affairs, resulting in two intertwined narratives. One tells of thieving hands that spark flames and spill innocent blood. The other envisions a revolution that dismantles this regime that only takes, as birds rise skyward, unscathed yet flickering like the flames that surround them.
