Prisca Choe 최하연
Knuckle (San), 2025
Plexiglass
15.25” x 7.25” x 1.75”
This work is part of Choe’s brass knuckle series, which serves as an exploration of resistance as both an intimate and expansive practice. By merging transparent materials, traditional Korean craft motifs, and light with a form historically associated with self-protection, it asks what it means to safeguard ourselves not through dominance, but through luminosity, balance, and the stories we choose to carry forward. This piece is both a love letter to and call for the artist’s community to embrace the power and discomfort of resistance.
