Fiona Nguyen (b. 1995) is a visual artist based in Montreal.  She received her BFA in Painting and Drawing from Concordia University in 2021 and a grant from Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec in 2023. Her work explores the feverish and precarious nature of memory, and how the sublime can both reveal and disembody unthinkable suffering. It examines the arduous act of keeping a surviving object, scene, or memory alive, and the poetic commitment required to sustain such preservation. Her work will be presented in upcoming exhibitions at the Musée d’art de Joliette and Stewart Art Hall Gallery in Canada, and at Atelier Bardaf in Belgium.
