Carter Guthrie (she/they) is a visual artist and curator whose work  follows patterns to observe a greater narrative about sensuality and social obligations. While her main artistic method is lens based, they have found that collage and experimenting with expired films allows her freedom to discover new associations.

“Writing is not a form I can take with ease, as visual language has always been my first method of translating feelings. When I write it’s due to gelatinous thoughts expanding with age in my brain until said thoughts eventually takes the shape of something tangible. On display will be a journal entry about a bitterly skewed sense of self and my mom.”
