Over the course of several years while circumnavigating our city on NYC ferry rides, McCabe produced a collection of miniature paintings playfully framed with film slide mounts. The artist has captured scenes high and low, from interpretations of the sweeping skyline, to small pockets of green, figments of the sky, and introduced found material in the form of feathers and humor in the form of glitter. A selection of this large body of work is featured in a book commissioned and published by Westlab + Gallery, titled Summer Vacation.
